Technical SEO Audit Services That Ship Fixes

If your rankings dropped and nobody can tell you why, this is the audit that finds all 120+ breaks across 9 categories -- and fixes them in your codebase.

Technical SEO audit services are a systematic inspection of every signal that affects how search engines discover, crawl, render, index, and rank your pages -- run by a team that also fixes what it finds. They're for growth leads and marketing teams watching organic traffic drop with no clear diagnosis, sites that just migrated or redesigned, or teams launching new sites who want SEO built in from day one. We check 120+ signals across 9 categories: crawlability, indexability, Core Web Vitals, structured data, security, URL structure, mobile optimization, JavaScript rendering, and international SEO. Every issue gets a severity rating (critical, warning, opportunity) and a specific code-level fix, not a vague recommendation.

The process runs three weeks: week one is a full crawl (up to 50,000 URLs) plus Google Search Console data pulls; week two is analysis and prioritization by severity and revenue impact; week three delivers the audit document, a prioritized action plan, and a walkthrough call. Because we're also a web development agency, we can implement the fixes ourselves -- in your codebase, on the same invoice -- rather than handing you a PDF and wishing you luck.

Pricing is fixed-fee: Starter audits (up to 500 pages) run USD 1,500, Professional (up to 5,000 pages, including implementation of the top 20 fixes) is USD 3,500, and Enterprise (5,000+ pages, with JavaScript rendering and international SEO review) starts at USD 5,000.

Who this is for (and when it's the wrong choice)

This is built for teams who need a diagnosis, not a dashboard. If your rankings dropped after a migration, if Core Web Vitals are failing in Search Console, or if you're launching a new build and want the technical foundation right the first time, a full audit is the right move. It's also worth doing before a WordPress-to-headless migration -- see our WordPress to Next.js migration guide for what typically breaks during that move.

It's the wrong choice if you already know what's broken. If your dev team has a documented backlog of SEO issues and just needs implementation help, skip the audit and go straight to the fix. And if you run a single small site with no traffic history to compare against, our free Site Scanner will tell you most of what a full audit would, in 30 seconds instead of three weeks.

How we do it

Week 1 -- crawl and data collection. We crawl your entire site (up to 50,000 URLs) using our own tooling plus Screaming Frog and Sitebulb for cross-validation. We pull Google Search Console data -- impressions, clicks, average position, coverage issues -- and run Lighthouse against your highest-traffic pages, backed by Chrome UX Report field data so lab scores don't mislead us.

Week 2 -- analysis and prioritization. Every finding gets a severity rating and an estimated impact. Critical issues (broken indexing, security gaps, blocked crawl paths) come first, then Core Web Vitals and schema opportunities, then the smaller cleanup work. For JavaScript-heavy sites, we specifically test how Googlebot renders the page versus what's in the raw HTML source -- a gap that trips up most React, Next.js, and Vue builds.

Week 3 -- deliverables. You get an audit document with an overall health score, a category-by-category breakdown, every issue documented with its fix, a prioritized action plan, and a competitive comparison against your top three organic competitors (Professional and Enterprise tiers). Every audit closes with a 30-minute walkthrough call.

What you receive isn't a spreadsheet you have to interpret yourself. Every fix is written as a specific code change or configuration update. If you want us to ship those fixes rather than hand them off, Professional and Enterprise tiers include implementation -- same team, same invoice, no separate developer to brief.

What we've shipped

SleepDr.com, a sleep medicine practice, moved off WordPress onto Next.js 15, Payload CMS, and Supabase with a HIPAA-safe architecture (patient forms handled through HIPAA-compliant Jotform, no PHI stored on our servers), medical schema, 20 city landing pages, and four-language support. Lighthouse went from 35 to 94. The practice has a verified 5.0 Clutch review. Full writeup: SleepDr WordPress to Next.js case study.

bdManagedIT, a Central-Georgia managed IT provider, rebuilt from WordPress onto Astro, Sanity, and Netlify. The result: 95+ PageSpeed, zero-JS static pages, service, industry, and location pages built out properly, HIPAA/PCI-DSS/CJIS/SOX compliance guides, HubSpot CRM integration, and full AI-search schema. Case study: bdManagedIT WordPress to Astro + Sanity.

Both projects started with the same diagnostic process described above -- crawl, cross-reference against Search Console, rate every issue by severity, then fix it in the codebase rather than just reporting it.

Sources

Google treats Core Web Vitals as a confirmed ranking input -- see Google's Core Web Vitals documentation and the underlying metric definitions at web.dev. For duplicate URLs and canonicalization, Google's guidance on consolidating duplicate URLs explains why sitemap hygiene matters. If your audit turns up multilingual issues, Google's localized versions guidance covers correct hreflang implementation.

If you're not sure whether you need a full audit or a narrower pass, our Core Web Vitals optimization page covers that service on its own.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does a technical SEO audit take?

A full technical SEO audit takes 2-3 weeks depending on site size, split into three phases: week one is crawling and data collection, week two is analysis and prioritization, and week three is deliverables and the walkthrough call. Single-page checks via our free Site Scanner take about 30 seconds.

What tools do you use for the audit?

We cross-validate with multiple tools rather than trusting one: Screaming Frog and Sitebulb for crawling, Google Search Console API for indexing data, Lighthouse CI and PageSpeed Insights API for performance, and Chrome DevTools Protocol for rendering checks. No single tool catches everything a site can get wrong.

Will you implement the fixes or just report them?

Both -- unlike audit-only agencies, we're also a web development team, so we can implement every fix we recommend in the same codebase, on the same invoice. Most clients choose the Professional tier, which includes implementation of the top 20 fixes found in the audit.

How much does a technical SEO audit cost?

Pricing is fixed-fee based on site size: Starter audits (up to 500 pages) are USD 1,500, Professional (up to 5,000 pages, including implementation of the top 20 fixes) is USD 3,500, and Enterprise (5,000+ pages) starts at USD 5,000. Single-page scans via our Site Scanner are free.

Do you audit JavaScript-rendered sites?

Yes -- React, Next.js, Vue, and Angular sites have SEO challenges that generic crawlers miss, because content that only exists after JavaScript execution may never get indexed. We specifically test how Googlebot renders your pages using the Chrome DevTools Protocol, comparing raw HTML against the rendered output.

Can you audit my competitors too?

Yes -- Professional and Enterprise tiers include a competitive analysis showing how your technical SEO compares to your top three organic competitors across crawlability, Core Web Vitals, and structured data. It shows exactly what they're doing that you're not, so fixes get prioritized by competitive gap, not guesswork.
