ICP Bei'an filing typically takes 2-4 weeks after document submission, depending on which Chinese province processes your application. The full process including document preparation usually runs 4-6 weeks. We get all materials ready in advance and submit the moment your hosting is provisioned to cut delays to a minimum.
Technically possible, but rarely worth it. Sites hosted outside mainland China load slowly through the Great Firewall, and blocked resources — Google Fonts, reCAPTCHA, YouTube embeds — break functionality entirely. We typically build a separate China-facing instance on mainland infrastructure that shares your CMS but serves optimized content.
Baidu still weighs meta keywords, renders JavaScript poorly, and favors its own ecosystem — Baike, Zhidao, Tieba. Sites with ICP filings and mainland hosting get ranking boosts. Backlinks matter less than they do on Google, while content freshness and presence across Baidu's own platforms matters significantly more. The technical and content strategies really are completely different.
