Jewellery-specific website design means building an ecommerce or brand site around two things most agencies completely miss: the physics of how gemstones are actually photographed, and the psychology of how someone decides to spend £8,000 on a ring. Those are genuinely different problems from selling trainers or supplements. Here's the thing -- a generic Shopify theme assumes your products are flat, colour-stable, and need no explanation. None of that's true for jewellery. A sapphire shifts colour between daylight, incandescent, and LED lighting. A brilliant-cut diamond needs a specific white balance or it reads grey on screen.
